Jacquie Humphries: Preschool Manager
I have been involved with Learning for Little People Preschool since my first son attended in 2015. I began working at the preschool in 2016 and had the opportunity to be working while both my children attended. I accepted the position of Manager in 2019 and absolutely love my work. Early Childhood Education allows me to be creative, work closely with families in the community and meet amazing children every year.
My husband and I moved to the Okanagan in 2013. I have two sons, Aaron and Liam who I adore and am so proud of. Our family is rounded out with my amazing golden retriever, Huxley. We love fishing, camping and spending time at the beach. I spend my spare time in my garden or working with my dog.

I feel so lucky to be doing what I’m doing. I moved to the Okanagan nearly 20 years ago and have been working as an ECE for just over 15 years. I’ve worked at many different places with many wonderful women and feel like I finally landed where I truly belong.
I love the philosophy and program at LFLP. We have wonderful management (manager and assistant manager) and have the opportunity to work with amazing support workers making sure the children at our centre get the very best care possible.
I feel like I’m living my best life with my wonderful husband and my amazing job creating a perfect at home at work balance. Feeling like the luckiest girl alive and hoping for nothing more than to provide the very best care for the children attending. Empowering them and to help teach through play as they develop and move on to be a productive part of our society.
I love my job.
